Field service representative

.Isomass Scientific Inc. is looking for a full-time Field Service Representative based in Calgary. We are an independently owned company established in 1981. Our business revolves around providing scientific instruments and parts, support and service to our customers. You will work from the Calgary workshop and travel to customer sites. This is an opportunity to grow to be the technical lead of analytical instrumentation within Canada. The professionalism of the field service representative is a fundamental brick of our business.

Duties and responsibilities

  • Installation and service of laboratory instruments/parts at customer sites and Calgary workshop
  • Provide technical support for marketing, sales and scientific activities
  • Travel within Canada and internationally for work or training. Maintain a car for Alberta-wide travel
  • Represent the company in a professional manner in all dealings with customers
  • Maintain an up-to-date knowledge on the nature, type and application of our products
  • Address challenges and opportunities in a fast-paced environment

Minimum Requirements

  • Diploma in chemical laboratory technology or electrical engineering technology or similar.
  • Troubleshooting and diagnosis skills applicable to electronic instruments.
  • Strong computer literacy and numeracy skills.
  • Excellent organisational skills, ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs with assistance and 30 lbs alone throughout the day.
  • Ability to meet personal and public health related requirements for travel and customer site admittance.
  • Professional working proficiency in English. Other language skill is a plus.
  • Willing to travel up to 90% of time once fully trained. Driving license and own car.
  • Hands-on experience in analytical laboratory instruments is a plus but not a requirement.
